What do the account connection states mean?

Each connected account carries its own state — connected, connecting, degraded, disconnected, authentication required, broker unavailable, rate limited or error — and reconnects on a widening delay rather than retrying aggressively.

The states

Connected — data is current and enabled controls can be applied.

Connecting — the link is being established.

Degraded — the account is reachable but data is arriving late or incomplete.

Disconnected — the link dropped and reconnection is being attempted.

Authentication required — the stored credentials were rejected and need re-entering.

Broker unavailable — your broker or platform is not answering.

Rate limited — too many requests were made and requests are being spaced out.

Error — something else prevented the connection; the reason is recorded.

One account cannot block another

Every connection has isolated state, so a single failing account does not hold up monitoring for anyone else.

Where data is stale, the interface shows the time of the last successful synchronisation instead of hiding the problem.
