Is LiveFXPlan a broker?

Accepted Answer

No. LiveFXPlan does not open brokerage accounts, hold client funds or act as the counterparty to your trades. Your money and trading account remain with your chosen broker.

Is LiveFXPlan a signal provider?

Accepted Answer

No. LiveFXPlan does not create trading signals or tell users what to buy or sell. The Trade Planner helps users structure and assess their own trade ideas or information obtained independently.

Does LiveFXPlan place trades for me?

Accepted Answer

LiveFXPlan is not a discretionary trading or money-management service. You remain responsible for every trading decision. Depending on the features you enable, LiveFXPlan may transmit user-authorised instructions, manage structured entries or perform configured protection actions on a connected account. It does not independently decide which markets you should trade.

Is LiveFXPlan suitable for beginners?

Accepted Answer

LiveFXPlan can help traders organise their activity and understand risk, but it does not replace trading knowledge or experience. New traders should understand leverage, position sizing, stop losses and the possibility of losing their full trading capital before trading with real money.

How does LiveFXPlan work with my broker and MT5?

Accepted Answer

Your broker holds the trading account. MT5 is the platform you normally use to view charts and place trades. LiveFXPlan connects separately to a supported account so it can display account information, monitor enabled limits and organise your trading data.

You can think of the workflow as:

“Broker account → MT5 for charts and trading → LiveFXPlan for planning, monitoring, protection and review.”

LiveFXPlan does not replace your broker or MT5.

Which trading platform is currently supported?

Accepted Answer

Currently supported: MetaTrader 5 (MT5), where your broker and account type are compatible with the available integration. Additional trading-platform integrations are planned; MT4, cTrader, TradeLocker and DXtrade are not supported today.

Can I continue trading manually on MT5?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can continue using MT5 to analyse charts and place trades manually. LiveFXPlan can monitor the connected account in the background and apply the protection rules you have enabled.

What information does LiveFXPlan receive from a connected account?

Accepted Answer

Depending on the supported connection, LiveFXPlan may synchronise:

• Account balance

Can I connect more than one account?

Accepted Answer

Yes, where your subscription allows it. Accounts appear separately so you can monitor each connected trading account without combining their rules or results. Risk settings remain configurable for each account individually.

Compatible MT5 accounts may be connected where your broker server is supported. LiveFXPlan is not a broker and does not issue, fund or supply trading accounts or trading capital of any kind.

You remain responsible for understanding and following every rule imposed by the provider of the trading account you connect.

Does the website need to remain open for monitoring to work?

Accepted Answer

No. Once a supported account is correctly connected and protection is active, monitoring should continue through the server-side service without requiring the user to keep the browser open.

Make clear that monitoring depends on the account remaining connected and the relevant service being available.

Question 13

What should I do if my account shows as disconnected?

Accepted Answer

First check that the account number, broker server and credentials are correct. Confirm that the account remains active with the broker and that the connection has not been restricted or changed. Reconnect the account if necessary.

While an account is disconnected, LiveFXPlan may be unable to receive current data or apply automated protection. Display a prominent warning whenever monitoring is interrupted.

What risk controls can I configure?

Accepted Answer

Depending on the plan and connected-account support, users may configure:

• Maximum daily loss
• Maximum account loss
• Drawdown limits
• Maximum loss for a planned trade
• Temporary trading locks
• Cooldown periods
• Automatic breakeven triggers
• Risk-per-trade guidance
• Account-specific targets and limits
• Alerts when a threshold is approaching

Each account must have its own settings.

How is the daily loss limit measured?

The daily loss limit is measured against the account equity recorded at the configured daily reset time and timezone. Floating losses from open positions count towards the calculation, not only closed trades.

What happens when a configured loss limit is reached?

Where automated protection is active and supported, LiveFXPlan can close open positions, cancel pending orders and temporarily lock further trading for the configured cooldown period.

The event is recorded in the protection audit trail with the account, rule, threshold, equity value, time and actions taken.

Controls are applied subject to broker, platform, network and market availability. Slippage, market gaps, latency or connection failures can still result in a loss beyond the selected threshold.

What is maximum-account-loss protection?

Accepted Answer

Maximum-account-loss protection allows the user to define the largest account loss they are prepared to accept. LiveFXPlan monitors the applicable account baseline and current equity. If the configured threshold is reached, the enabled protection process can act on the account.

Clearly show which baseline is being used, the configured percentage or monetary limit, the current equity and the remaining headroom.

Question 18

Is maximum drawdown the same as daily loss?

Accepted Answer

No.

Daily loss measures the account’s decline during one configured trading day.

Maximum drawdown or maximum account loss measures the wider decline using the baseline shown in that account’s settings. The applicable baseline may be the starting balance, starting equity or recorded peak, depending on the rule selected.

Always show the baseline clearly so the user understands how the limit is calculated.

Question 19

When do trades move to breakeven?

Accepted Answer

Breakeven protection activates when the user’s configured trigger is reached. Eligible matching trades can then have their stop losses moved to their respective entry prices.

The trigger always reflects the setting you selected — there is no universal fixed level.

Breakeven does not guarantee a zero-loss result because spread, commission, slippage, gaps and execution conditions may affect the final outcome.

Question 20

Can LiveFXPlan guarantee that I will not exceed my limit?

Accepted Answer

No. Automated controls are designed to support risk management, but they cannot eliminate trading risk. Fast markets, gaps, slippage, rejected orders, broker restrictions, internet interruptions, integration outages and other technical conditions may affect execution.

Users must continue monitoring their own accounts and must never trade more capital than they can afford to lose.

Can I temporarily lock an account after reaching my limit?

Accepted Answer

Yes, where supported. The user can select a cooldown or lock period. When the applicable protection rule is triggered, LiveFXPlan can restrict further activity for the configured duration.

The interface must show:

• Why the account was locked
• When the lock started
• When it is scheduled to end
• Which rule was triggered
• Whether protection has been re-armed

How can I plan a trade before execution?

Accepted Answer

Enter the proposed market, direction, entry or entry zone, stop loss, targets and preferred risk. LiveFXPlan can then display the potential monetary loss, potential return, reward-to-risk ratio, lot-size information and structured entry plan before the user proceeds.

All calculations must be labelled as estimates because spreads, commissions, slippage and broker specifications may affect the result.

How do structured entries work?

Accepted Answer

When you enter an entry zone and choose layered execution, your total lot size is divided across the number of entries you select.

• Entries not yet reached may be prepared as pending orders where supported.
• Entries already passed wait for the confirmation condition you chose, and the timeframe used is shown.
• You see every proposed entry, lot size, stop loss and target before confirming.

The number of entries is always the number you select — there is no fixed requirement to use eight.

Can I enter a trade idea received elsewhere?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You may manually enter or paste information obtained independently. LiveFXPlan can organise the details and show a risk preview before any user-authorised action. LiveFXPlan does not verify that an external trade idea is accurate, suitable or profitable.

Question 25

Can I cap the planned loss on one trade?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The user can enter a maximum risk percentage or monetary amount. LiveFXPlan can estimate an appropriate position size using the account balance, entry, stop distance and available contract specifications.

The result remains an estimate until the order is accepted and executed by the broker.

Can I adjust a trade after it has started?

Accepted Answer

Where supported, users may update eligible stop levels, target levels or the defined trade zone. Before submitting an adjustment, show exactly which positions will be affected and provide a confirmation step.

Never change unrelated trades or account settings automatically.

Is my trade history added automatically?

Accepted Answer

Closed trades from a supported connected account can be synchronised automatically. Users should also be able to add context that cannot be obtained from the broker, including strategy, setup, session, notes, screenshots, emotions and mistakes.

Users can define personal targets such as a target balance, daily objective, risk per trade, trading days and preferred review period. LiveFXPlan then organises progress against those inputs.

Every compounding projection is labelled as an illustrative projection — not a forecast or guarantee of future results.

What is the weekly review?

Accepted Answer

The weekly review brings together performance, risk usage, plan adherence, trading habits and journal information. It should help the user identify what worked, what needs attention and whether they followed their own plan.

What does the AI Coach do?

Accepted Answer

Where this feature is available, the AI Coach summarises information already recorded in the user’s account, journal and performance data. It may identify recurring habits or suggest subjects to review.

It must not:

• Provide buy or sell instructions
• Predict market direction
• Guarantee results
• Encourage users to increase risk
• Present itself as a regulated financial adviser

Can I export a performance report?

Where reporting is included in the user’s plan, LiveFXPlan can produce a performance summary for a selected period or account. Reports may include results, risk statistics, drawdown, trade frequency and journal information.

Reports must not be presented as audited or independently verified unless they genuinely are.

Is there a free trial?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every new account starts with a 5-day free trial of the platform. When the 5 days end, the workspace stays locked until a subscription is purchased; nothing is deleted and everything returns as soon as you subscribe.

The applicable price, trial end date and renewal terms are shown before checkout.

Can I change or cancel my plan?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Users can upgrade, downgrade or cancel from the billing page. When downgrading, existing data should remain saved, but features outside the new plan may become unavailable.

Explain when cancellation takes effect and whether access continues until the end of the paid billing period.

How are payments handled?

Accepted Answer

Checkout, card updates and invoices are handled through the payment provider’s secure pages. LiveFXPlan should not directly store full card details.

Will cancelling delete my trading history?

Accepted Answer

No. Cancellation should not immediately delete the user’s data. Explain the applicable retention period and provide a clear way to export or request deletion, subject to the Privacy Policy and legal retention requirements.

Are my broker credentials secure?

Accepted Answer

Trading-account credentials must be encrypted and kept server-side. Never expose passwords in browser code, page source, logs, analytics or customer-support screens.

Where the integration allows it, encourage users to use investor/read-only access for analytics-only connections. Explain clearly when trade-enabled access is required for user-authorised execution or automated protection.

Do not claim that a connection is “100% secure.”

Can LiveFXPlan withdraw money from my broker account?

Accepted Answer

No. LiveFXPlan must never request or use withdrawal access. Deposits and withdrawals remain under the control of the broker and account holder.

What happens if monitoring becomes unavailable?

Accepted Answer

Display a prominent in-app and, where configured, external alert. The affected account must show as disconnected or unprotected rather than continuing to display “Protected.”

Explain that automated actions may not operate during a connection, broker, integration or service interruption.

How do I contact support?

Accepted Answer

Provide a visible link to the Contact page and support email used by the project. Encourage users to include the affected account reference, broker server, approximate time and a screenshot, but never ask them to email their trading password.

No. LiveFXPlan provides software for planning, monitoring, risk management, journaling and analytics. Nothing on the platform is financial, investment or trading advice.
