How do I connect a MetaTrader 5 account to LiveFXPlan?
Add your broker server name, account number and trading password on the Accounts page. The connection is handled server-side and the account is only marked ready once the link is live.

What each field is for
Broker server: identifies which of your broker's servers your account lives on, so the connection reaches the right place.
Account number: identifies your individual trading account.
Password: a trading-level password is required for the controls that place or modify instructions, such as closing positions or moving a stop to breakeven. A read-only password allows monitoring, journaling and analytics, but not those actions.
Permissions, in plain terms
A trading-level connection can place and modify orders on that trading account. It cannot withdraw money from your broker account — withdrawals are a separate process controlled by your broker.
Credentials are held server-side, encrypted, and are never sent to your browser.
